The family house of Rhys Cooper, founder of Galveston Group. £50 million, invested for the long term — from Edinburgh to the world.
Our purpose ↓What we do
No outside money. No committees. No quarters to please. JPRC Capital is run by the Cooper family around one table — which means we can think in decades.
Our name is on the door and on every investment. Decisions are made by the people who bear them.
Led by Rhys Cooper, a builder before an investor. We back people who build, because we have built.
Permanent capital with no fixed horizons. The right decade matters more than the right quarter.
An oak is not planted for the planter. We invest the same way — quietly, carefully, for the long term.

A Scottish success story
Rhys Cooper is one of Scotland's quietest success stories. Raised in Edinburgh, he wrote his first product at ten — and never stopped building.
At fifteen he founded Galveston Group and created Mithril, a graph-native financial intelligence platform, growing it to forty-two people across Edinburgh and San Francisco.
A self-made multimillionaire at seventeen, Rhys Cooper now leads JPRC Capital — the family house for what comes next. On Sundays he serves at the altar of his cathedral in Edinburgh, a commitment kept through everything the work has brought.
“I want to foster more of these stories in Britain, and especially in Scotland. Driving that innovation forward is what the next chapter is about.”Rhys Cooper — Galveston Group · JPRC Capital
